Brighton was a 7-month-old boy living in Kibera, Nairobi, who tragically died after exposure to tear gas during anti-government protests in March 2023.

Brighton's mother, Jackline Moraa, stated that the tear gas entered their home, causing Brighton to develop severe respiratory issues including persistent cough and fever.
