Dancun Onsongo (also spelled Duncan Onsongo) was a 26āyearāold fruit vendor from Amabuko subālocation in Kisii County. He was reported missing on 2 July 2024, after participating in youth-led protests in Mlolongo, Machakos County.
Disappearance & Discovery
Onsongo was last seen in Mlolongo on 2 July 2024 as the protests spread beyond Nairobi. His family searched hospitals and police stations for days. On 5 July 2024, his body was found at Nairobi City Mortuary, showing burns on the face and chestālikely from a tear gas canister explosion. [1] [2]
